About the Journal

The Journal of Studies in Science and Mathematics Education (JOSSME) of the Department of Science Education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, is a fully open-access peer-reviewed journal established primarily to publish scholarly findings of utmost educational value.
JOSSME is a unique journal that combines two large complementary fields of research activities: Science and Mathematics education. Thus, the journal publishes articles focusing on empirical, methodological, pedagogical, philosophical, and theoretical topics related to Science and Mathematics Education across all levels of education and vocations – both formal and informal in Nigeria and outside the Nigerian borders.
The Department of Science Education at Ahmadu Bello University is pleased to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the teaching and learning of Science and Mathematics through this journal. Therefore, the department encourages educational researchers in Nigeria and beyond to submit manuscripts for publication in this journal.
