Abstract

The Okun cultural landscape as used in this paper depicts the landmass occupied by people ascribing to the Okun identity. Not much is known about the historical events taking place within the Okun cultural landscape as at the beginning of the 16th century AD because of the scanty materials available. Some of the researches so far conducted in the area has not been harmonised so as to give the reader a comprehensive overview of events that took place within the area.  The present paper is aimed at shedding light on the types of socio – cultural interactions of the people of the study area from earliest period about the 16th century AD.
