Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the muscular endurance variability of health related
fitness with sex among Federal Unity Secondary School students in Federal Capital Territory
Abuja. To achieve this purpose, two hundred and forty (240) male and female students’ were
randomly selected from the six (6) Federal Unity Secondary Schools in Federal Capital Territory,
Abuja. Sit-up test was used to determine muscular strength and endurance, t-test statistical
analysis was used to compare the difference between students’ health related fitness variables.
The results of the analysis showed significant difference in the muscular endurance between
male and female students. It was concluded that Male and female students perform differently in
any health related fitness, it was therefore recommended that Static and dynamic activities
should be introduced for the development of various muscle groups.
