The paper examined the influence of income on the nutritional status of lowincome households in selected Federal Tertiary Institutions in Kaduna state, Nigeria. Survey research method was employed using questionnaire and oral interview to obtain data. A multistage sampling technique was used for a population of 1552 to select sample size of 232 household heads, while purposive sampling technique was used to select seven institutions in Kaduna state. Data collected from the study were analyzed using descriptive statistics, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). Post Hoc Multiple Comparison was also employed, using LSD Pair Wise method, to obtain the least significant difference. Findings indicate that highest household heads frequency scores were 34.7%, with a mean score of 11.2 that earned between N46, 500.00 -N55, 000.00 monthly. The next income score of 28.3% with mean of 10.2 earned between N36, 500.00 and N46, 499.00 monthly. The study therefore recommended that Federal Government, and states should upgrade monthly income of low-income household workers to the range of between N46, 500.00 and N55, 000.00/month to enhance nutritional status and standard of living of her work force among others.
