Reflection of Lexical Gap in Some Translation Works by Yoruba Translators

Abstract

The Issue of Lexical gap between two different languages is considered as one of the most problematic aspects of translation, the aim of this paper is to study the Issue then trace its reflections on the operation of translating Yoruba cultures and thoughts into Arabic Language. The Researcher choose some Arabic Novels and Stories written by some Yoruba Writers as samples through which he traced the reflections of Lexical gap in the ways they translate their Yoruba cultures and thoughts into Arabic Language.
